If you see the message “Error loading anti-cheat client module”, it means that Akros was unable to initialize its anti-cheat software. Without this module running, Akros cannot enforce fair play, so it will fail to start.
Common Cause
This error is most often caused by antivirus or security software preventing Akros from running. Certain antivirus programs can block the anti-cheat module even if you temporarily disable them.
Known culprits:
BullGuard
ESET
These antivirus programs are known to interfere with Akros more than others.
How to Fix It
Uninstall the antivirus software completely. Disabling it is not sufficient because the anti-cheat module can still be blocked.
After uninstalling, restart your PC and launch Akros.
You may reinstall your antivirus later if desired
Note: Akros requires a fully trusted environment. If any software interferes with its anti-cheat module, it will not start, and there is no workaround other than removing the conflicting program.
